"Our Story"

Hi, I’m Andrea Moore, co-owner of our family-operated food truck business, and this journey started in the most unexpected way.

What started as a simple Saturday night gathering in August 2018 turned into something far bigger than we ever imagined. We hosted one of our favorite traditions at home called a “Sit Around” — an evening filled with good food, good music, and great fellowship with friends and family.

That night, we served our famous tacos, and they were an instant hit. Everyone kept talking about how flavorful and delicious they were, and the compliments just kept coming. The next morning, my husband, Darin Moore, and I couldn’t stop talking about how much our guests loved the tacos. That’s when I said, “What if we sold them?”

At first, we had no idea how that could even happen. We knew opening a restaurant wasn’t an option, so we started researching. A quick online search led us to the idea of starting a food truck business — and surprisingly, we found a trailer company just 20 minutes up the road. From there, the journey truly began.

We spent countless hours learning everything we could about the process. We discovered that the Health Department and Planning & Zoning offices were key parts of getting started. At the time, we knew absolutely nothing about the food truck industry or whether our dream was even possible. All we had was an idea, determination, and one thing we knew for sure — everybody loves tacos.

Instead of being intimidated by the process, we chose to build relationships and work alongside the agencies guiding us through it. Once those partnerships were formed, everything started falling into place.

 

Today, seven years later, what began as a backyard “Sit Around” has grown into a successful food truck business proudly serving the CSRA community. We now operate two food trailers and continue to share the same passion that started it all — bringing people together over great food, music, and fellowship.
